Mathias Sorof plays impressive jazz tunes and
beautiful compositions on
his strangely tuned Stick. Let's try to define it; "uncrossed reversed
bass in 5ths and melody like a guitar without the 6th string" Phew...

Then Nicola Carrai does very nice renditions of
"Over the rainbow" and "I send an SOS" by the Police.

Jim Meyer plays his grand Stick. He gives us
his own compositions and a
tune by Glenn Poorman. Jim is a very good player. His textures are rich,
his playing delicate. Other students show us their skills. It's always
good to check out your level compared to others.

We end the seminar with more informal gatherings, jam
sessions and setups.

The "italosquad".
Stickists begin to leave, we exchange adresses. Thomas Simon calls me on my mobile phone. After driving half an hour, he realized that he forgot his Stick in the school. He turns back (who wouldn't) and at six, he leaves the school again, now fully equipped.

Back to my house in the garden with the StickMasters for appetizers,
white wine. And then a great evening with good food, wine, and happy
people sharing good stories.
