How

School

The BBM74 (Blue Breath Music) school of music kindly lent us it's studios.

There were 3 large spaces for the collective lessons and 3 smaller rooms for private lessons

School gear

Collective lessons studios were equipped with both amplifiers and headphone systems, to allow better communication between teachers and students.

A properly setup Stick® needs a very light touch to sing, and previous seminar have shown that when 5 or 6 people play the same exercise through amplifiers, they tap with too much strength which is counterproductive in terms of technique (and pretty tiring for everyone).

Private lessons studios were equipped with combo amps.

Students gear

Students brought lots of positive energy but also:

- 1 stereo cord for their Stick®

- 1 one pair of closed stereo headphones

The school provided stereo to mono adaptors.

Levels

There were 3 levels:

- Beginner

- Intermediate

- Advanced

IMPORTANT

Beginners who don't already own an instrument were welcome.

We had a couple of instruments for beginners.

Collective lessons

9 to 12 am (2 x 75' with a 15' break inbetween) and from 2 to 5 pm (same as morning).

On sunday, lessons started at 10:30 am.

Setup

We had a setup workshop (strings height, intonation, truss-rod, tuning, a.s.o) on saturday from 5 to 6:30 pm.

Private lessons

They were scheduled on friday september 19. from 9 to 12 am and 2 to 6 pm.

Concert

There was a Stick Night in Café du Petit Paris in La Chaux-de-Fonds (a town near by).

Food

Lunch (included in the seminar fee) was served in the school.

Lodging

Students and teachers were staying at the Hôtel des Arts, 900 feet away from the school (or in their VW van, like Thomas).
